Executive Director
The Anabaptist Climate Collaborative (ACC) seeks an energetic and creative Executive Director to activate its mission as it transitions from a center operated through a partnership between Eastern Mennonite University, Mennonite Central Committee, and Goshen College, to a fully independent non-profit organization. Essential traits for the Executive Director role include a strong desire for institutional collaboration, a knack for visionary leadership, and an interdisciplinary approach to climate justice. As the public face of the ACC, the Executive Director has the unique opportunity to catalyze direct change on a pressing global issue by inspiring and empowering ACC’s constituents and stakeholders on a regular basis.
The Anabaptist Climate Collaborative Executive Director is responsible for furthering the ACC mission by providing leadership in two primary ways.
1. The Executive Director will lead the development of programmatic strategies and goals and the execution of specific activities that support the ACC’s vision to address climate change by fostering engagement and understanding through the perspectives of justice, peacebuilding, and reconciliation.
2. The Executive Director will implement administrative structures and systems that enable efficient and effective functioning of the ACC and its activities.
This director position will be 3/4 to full time, and can be based at any location in the U.S. (remote).

Climate Communications Intern
The Communications Internship is a part-time (30 hours/week) summer internship for students with an interest in Climate Communications and Writing or Video media development. Students will engage in media research, online communications, and article writing for CSCS’ website. Specific projects may include materials and media for this summer’s MCUSA convention, collaborative resource development with JoinTrees, and work on ACC’s carbon calculator.
The Communications Internship is a remote position, and includes housing stipend and an hourly wage for 30 hours per week. This is a contract position with a term length of 3 months over the summer of 2023.

Climate Advocacy Intern
The Climate Advocacy Internship is a part-time (30 hours/week) summer internship for students with an interest in Climate Action, Domestic Policy, and Advocacy. Students will engage in advocacy, organizing, and lobbying with Mennonite Central Committee U.S. National Peace & Justice Ministries, with a specific focus on mobilizing the Anabaptist community around climate issues. The Climate Advocacy Internship is typically based in Washington, D.C., and includes housing and a monthly stipend; however, fully virtual and hybrid work is possible. (In-person office work, policymaker meetings and working group meetings are all dependent upon the level of COVID-19 restrictions at the time of the internship.)
This is a contract position with a term length of 3 months over the summer of 2023.

Program Coordinator: Campus Climate Advocacy
Position currently filled.
The program coordinator for campus climate advocacy is a position with the Anabaptist Climate Collaborative (ACC), which works broadly at how ACC can engage college campuses, with a focus on Anabaptist colleges. The coordinator will develop resources and strategies that can be used by students across the Mennonite universities. The coordinator will test climate advocacy strategies with interested students. These strategies may include, but not be limited to, facilitating meetings with policymakers (local, state, and federal); letter writing and other written advocacy; low-time-investment actions like phone calls in which students with limited time could engage; and organizing demonstrations or organized action.
Other possible roles for the advocacy coordinator work include helping to expand ACC’s climate advocacy work, establishing broad climate policy principles, establishing relationships with fellow advocacy organizations, and engaging personally with key staff of federal policymakers in the states in which the universities are located. We especially encourage persons of color to apply. This is a contract position.
Anabaptist Climate Directory: Writing & Communications Coordinator

The writing and communications coordinator for the Anabaptist climate directory program is a position with the Anabaptist Climate Collaborative (formerly the Center for Sustainable Climate Solutions, CSCS), which works to create a central resource of activities, people and stories from various Anabaptist/Mennonite organizations that are engaging with climate issues. The coordinator will organize and maintain a program to collect contacts and information, starting with approximately fifteen organizations with current connections to ACC. The coordinator will organize this information into a resource on the web which is accessible to the general public, and that will attract broad engagement. The coordinator will work with ACC to develop a plan for public and organizational engagement, with the goal of eventually including one or more of the following: 1) a series of engaging stories, 2) developing and promoting a speaker’s bureau, 3) a webinar series highlighting key stories and resources.
This position is an opportunity for somebody who is passionate about climate justice to further our mission of raising awareness of how Anabaptists are working at this critical issue, and in particular through formal organizations. Global Voices: Writing & Communications Coordinator

The writing and communications coordinator for the global voices program is a position with the Anabaptist Climate Collaborative (ACC), which works to create engaging materials that draw from global stories of climate change. The coordinator will develop stories of both impacts and solutions of climate change from existing contacts with Anabaptist/Mennonites communities around the world. This position works in collaboration with the Creation Care Task Force of Mennonite World Conference. The coordinator will collaborate with the ACC and MWC staff on making written pieces available to a broad audiences, and in multiple formats.
This position is an opportunity for somebody who is passionate about climate justice to further our mission of raising awareness of both unseen injustices of climate change, and how people around the world are engaging with creative and inspiring solutions.
